J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website (click here to view online).

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, but not the J.Crew Collection (click here).

The AUGUST catalog (click here to view) is still available to view. However, the September catalog is still not up.

J.Crew is also offering customers to take an additional 25% off select shoes, boots, and bags with promo code EXTRAS. Yey! This code expires September 8, 2013.

What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out today? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

  1. Hello, beaded collar schoolboy blazer, would you like to come home with me?

    1. That's gorgeous. Unfortunately (or fortunately for my wallet) I never wear my hair up and I have long dark hair. The beauty of the collar would be hidden and probably tangle my hair.

    2. Wow. That is just beautiful. and the tweed is gorgeous. I was thinking that I like the military jacket too, but for the price, I think the beaded Schoolboy wins.

Also, the houndstooth Tippi is at last online.

  2. I didn't see anything that I needed in the mini roll-out.

However, I did see that they were offering a "pre-order" for the Horsing Around sweatshirt, even though it's just backordered until the 27th for the navy colorway. The gray colorway is sold out in XXS, XS, and S.

The interlock henley is also back to its $55 price tag after the steal some got it for during the sale.

Also, can anyone tell me what sweater the model is wearing under the excursion vests? I think it's a men's sweater, but I'm not quite sure.

    1. The sweater with the elbow patches? I'm hoping it's for women as it popped up in another color with the new update last night - check out the red sweater paired with the wool moto mini. So that's two colors - oatmeal with brown patches and red with black. Exciting!

    2. I didn't see that one. Hopefully it is a women's item coming soon!

  3. I asked about the Barbour Axle jacket. It's $629 in case anyone is wondering.

    1. FriendlyFemme - I know. I would never get it because the sleeves would be too long. A jacket with that price point would have to fit impeccably.

    2. And not have anything poking you in the shoulders. I still have two unworn JCrew jackets that I need to (someday) get to the tailor's and have the shoulder padding redone. I haven't bought a JCrew blazer since the days when people kept reporting this problem a year or two ago.

  4. I like the wool moto skirt. I eyed the linen one all summer and never bit on it (still $79.99) but I think I like the wool one even better because it can be worn with black tights.

Nothing else really caught my fancy.

  5. The moto skirt in wool-not sure which color though. I like them both. The beaded collar schoolboy - very cute too.

  6. Is the schoolboy blazer in beaded tweed (item 03379) meant to be worn only with the collar popped? With the beading on the underside (from the look of the product images, anyway) I'm wondering if the collar can be worn folded down the way notched collars traditionally are. Or would that defeat the whole purpose? I know it's still in the pre-order stage, but has anyone seen it pictured elsewhere worn with the collar flat?

  7. If anyone has an extra J Crew bounceback card that they won't be using, I would be so appreciative if you'd be willing to share! I recently misplaced my card and there is a sweater I am really hoping to get from this last rollout. I'm bummed so I figured I'd see if there was anyone that had an extra one here. Again, it would be most appreciated! My email is alison.orley@gmail.com. Thank you JCAs!

  9. Add me to the list of people looking for an online bounceback code! There is a sweater and a skirt I would LOVE to buy but I never got a card. Thanks in advance to anyone who has an extra code!

    1. i tired on the new minnies- i like them much better than the older version.
i am only 5'3" so it's about 1 inch to 1/2 inch longer than i want them. petite would be too short. I like the fit a lot but i did have to size down to 00. 0 my normal size pants/skirts were way too big and did not look right but the 00 was perfect. The issue i had was that i had really hard time putting on the pants and taking them off b/c the bottom of the pants is narrow (I like the narrowness when I have them). hope this helps.

    2. Thanks! I decided to purchase and I will review when I get them since I ordered the tall.

  11. Got my Schoolboy blazer in Dusty Lavender today! And it's too small. I wanted to weep. But, I have no choice but to bring it back. I would need a size 4, but it's all sold out online. Oh well. I guess it wasn't meant to be.

  14. I always enjoy looking at the new arrivals, but there aren't any 'must haves' for me this time around. I like a few of the collection items, but the prices are really getting out of control. Hopefully I'll be able to catch one or two of them once they get marked down significantly.

Along with the new arrivals, there are some new Promo-priced items & markdowns this week. I've noted them in this post. Enjoy your day everyone! :)

  15. Is the new beaded schoolboy blazer burgundy or more brown? In the model photo it looks burgundy but in the actual stock photo it looks brown. The color is called brown but the differences between the two photos is outrageous.

  16. Anyone seen the Quilted Baby Brompton crossbody? What does the leather feel and look like? It looks so shiny in the photo.

    1. Pathos, I saw it last night in my B&M in red and did not like it. You are right it is shiny and it looked cheap. The leather is hard and honestly did not look or feel like leather. JMHO

  17. I didn't see if this was posted yet, but in my store they were having a "secret" sale -- 25% off cashmere, cords, out-of-case jewelry. (as well as the shoes/boots/bags 25% off).
