Secret Sale for Facebook Friends of J.Crew

"Thanks!" to  many of you, who shared the following promotion from J.Crew.

J.Crew is offering 25% off (no min!) with promotional code SECRET. This offer expires tomorrow night, midnight EST. The usual exclusions apply (no suiting, no third party items, etc.)

It's interesting to see this type of sale being offered over at J.Crew's FB page. Especially since they are offering the same promo on their website, just with a minimum dollar amount.

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, please share!

  1. It doesn't appear stackable with the current code but a good option if you want something under $150

  2. Thanks! I can't think of anything I want right now, but it's always nice when they offer a no minimum promo.

  5. B&M offering 30% sales ( final sales ) plus 25% items @ FP. If you reach $150 after 30% off has been applied to your sales items, store will apply an extra 25% on the sales items.

    1. I just have to reiterate that I go to a mall JCrew that NEVER seems to have their act together about sales, promotions, % off, etc. When I went on Sunday, there was no sign about % off sale but then I read here that this was still going on. SO annoying. Plus they couldn't find "last sale price" for two items which were on sale online and then sold out (so the sale price is no longer listed). Other SAs at other JCrews have no problem finding that info. AARGH.

  6. I wish it included free shipping as well.

  7. Definitely won't be using it since it doesn't include free shipping. It's interesting, I just accidentally logged onto China's J. Crew and their current online promo is 25% off, no min, free shipping. Funny, isn't it?

  8. OT: I saw a bag at the J.Crew 5th Avenue store that I don't see online. It's rectangular tote shaped and has two large separate zippered compartments. The color is a deep mauve/oxblood. Does anyone know which bag this is? Thank you!

  9. I hope it's okay if I post an unrelated question: Do items ever disappear from the website entirely? For example, I had the scallop-trim mini skirt in my shopping cart and in my wishlist, but now they have vanished! When I try to click links for that item from google or from blogs, it just takes me to J.Crew's homepage rather than the item page stating it is sold out. I am very frustrated and am wondering if this is a temporary glitch or if J.Crew just does this with items from time to time.

    1. Hi Unknown : ) I don't know about this particular item, but sometimes if you first click on the item and it takes you to the home page, if you then go back to the original link/image that you clicked, it will then take you directly to the item. It's like it has to pull up the main site first before subsequent clicks will take you to the item you are interested in viewing. I do this with items I have bookmarked rather than on my wishlist. HTH!

    2. That is weird. I feel like I've had this happen before too but can't remember what it was. I did see this skirt in the sale section a couple of weeks ago. Maybe you could call some stores to see if they have it? The item # is 02677 if you don't already have it.

    3. Unknown, I would call customer service. They can usually see information about items despite what shows on the computer. I.e. they can see stock in the warehouse even if it's not yet online. They can also do some sort of wishlist thing on their end where it will be ordered (and promo applied) when it *does* pop back onto the site. Or they may be able to place the order for you straight away on their end. HTH

    4. Thanks for the replies (and thank you for the item number, Lauren)! I'm probably going to a store on Friday so I'll ask then if they can search for it.

  10. OT: Has anyone purchased a J.crew men's leather wallet like this one? Looking to see how they hold up. I'd like to get my father a new wallet for his birthday. He has only had cheap wallets that fall apart in 6 mos.

    1. AppGal - I haven't purchased or seen any JC men's wallets. Last year I bought 4 leather wallets on sale at Macy's, brought them home & decided on the best one for my husband. They were totally on sale, too.

    2. I have purchased I think the same one for my husband on sale last year (but from Net a Porter). It is holding fine ! Does get a patina tough :) HTH

  11. OT: I have the merino pocket sweater tunic in navy. Once I sized way down, I really like it. The tag says dry clean only. Has anyone tried to hand wash or machine wash in gentle? If so, how did it go? I'd really rather not have to dry clean every other wear! Thanks much.
