Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Finally! The 9 month dry spell has ended! I ordered 3 of the fabulous Patch Pocket stretch cotton skirt and felt possibly things were looking up! I stopped at two stores today and purchased:

Striped Basket Weave dress(a6314) in navy: LOVE! Fit me perfectly! I got my pencil skirt size. PERFECT length for me. Hits me right at the top of my knee.

Boy Shirt in Tropical Neon: Saw this in the catalog and had to check it out. Picked it up at 40% off! Yah!

Navy embroidered eyelet scarf: Love! 40 off!

Crystal shade earrings: I used to wear dangles, but have been on a "little" earring thing for a long time. Saw these gorgeous earrings and decided it was time to do some dangles again! 25% off!

Navy/white Panama hat: I adore my white Panama from last summer and HAD to have this two tone one!

What I ordered from the store:

My store didn't have the Chambray Embellished Scarf (due to the price point) so I decided to give it a try. I know....it's stupidly expensive, but if I love it I will watch it and hope it goes on sale.

Also ordered the Tassel Trim earrings. My stores had the necklace, but not the earrings. They have TASSELS...what can I say?!

    Tried and passed on:

Seersucker side slit skirt. Something is off with the cut/sizing of this. My store didn't have my normal pencil skirt size, so I tried the size up. The waist was too big (as expected) but I didn't expect the rest of the skirt to be skin tight!

Feather Paisley Top: Every summer I try this style of top. They are always done in the prettiest prints....but they don't do a thing for me. It's lovely, just not my style.

Embellished Chambray Tunic: Don't know why this has such a deep front slit. Really, I'd sew a hook and eye on it. But it looked just boring on me.

I feel so happy to have some new Crew goodies! Hope to see more things I like in the next rollout!

    1. Wow Stray Cat! When you go you go all in! Sounds like you got some great pieces. I hope to get to the store to check out the new arrivals soon.

    2. Shopping Celle! Oh boy, don't you know it! It's finally started to look like summer here and when that happens I can't wait to shop for new goodies. I also dropped some major cash at the Chanel Beauty counter and picked up a couple of things at the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale. Bad me!!! Hee!

  3. Crazy pop backs this morning. Some highlights: triple eyelet dress (which I have and love), eyelet midi skirt, fatigue jacket (in more sizes), wintress puffer (available in a lot of sizes, a great buy if you don't already have this).

    1. Agreed. I ordered a few things to try! Lots of sizes in the blah blah blah tee if anyone is still looking! I grabbed one too!

    2. Yay Ema! I probably should have sized down but I got so excited I wanted to get the order in fast!

    3. I took the xxs as Ina.
Also got the cubist print caftan that has never popped back in a xxs and the treills tee

    4. I just second a 2nd order for the blah blah xs and may or may not have sent a 3rd order! Nothing is final sale so I went hog wild with things to try! I love that cubist caftan Ema! Do you have the matching bikini?

    5. I raced over to check for popbacks, but it looks like the good ones are gone! I've seen some reviews/pics of the black and white Ikat dress and it looks soooo flattering. Tempted, but really wouldn't have an occasion to wear it much

    6. I had it but returned it and plan to catch it on sale as I have SO many string bikinis. But I have the brillian blue one (I couldn't push myself to return this one as the color is so beautiful) that should also go well with it.

  5. JCAs I posted this at the end of another thread but thought I would post it again here. The red and navy Isabelle Factory pumps are not sold out online. They appear to be but are not. I've seen some comments on IG and other places commenting that they are sold out. They do not show up if you look under women's shoes in either regular or sale but if you type in Isabelle in the search function they will show up and all sizes are available. Plus they are only $64 with the current 50% off promo. I would suggest going up 1/2 size from your non JC size. Gigi did a detailed review on her 1060 Pairs blog.

    1. Found them! Thanks for the tip!

Side note: They are final sale.

  6. I ordered the Teddie Convertible Straw Hobo as it finally went on sale. Saw it in the store and loved it! Also got the Petite Trench Dress on sale. We'll see how it fits as I don't do well with J Crew dresses; they don't fit me well for some reason but we'll try this one out.

    1. can you share what store had the bag on sale? i've been eyeing it for sometime and would love to snag it with a discount better than the PACKME code online.

  7. I visited my local store yesterday....ended up buying the Venice tee and the drapey tee in surf stripe (in grey)...both were a really nice stretchy fabric and were super comfortable on. I took an XS in both, as I usually do in JC tees.

One surprise item I loved was the paneled sweatshirt in surf stripe. I got it in S. I don't even care for how this shirt looks on the website, but in person it was a great, vibrant color...it also fit great. The sleeves are a little long but can be rolled up, as shown on the website model.

  8. In -case jewelry was still 25% off the other day. Maybe it'll continue thru the weekend?

    Review here of the paneled eyelet dress. $99.99 online + 30% off w/PACKME vs $109.99 in-store + 40% off.

  9. I just posted a pic of the I heart beach tee on Insta. I love the background color of this tee (heather dusk, I think) and the fabric. It is very thin though and you can see my belly bottom (so size up if this is a concern for you).

  10. Somewhat OT but very irritated! Like others who posted, I was excited to find a couple of pop backs in the sale section this morning. I had my cart ready to go with a pair of drapey crepe pants (love the pair I have), and soon realized that the pants had gone from $69 sale (per discount), where they had been lingering for weeks and weeks, to $98 full price!! Same pant, same color, etc. I've had this happen before and seen other JCA comment on it. JCAs aren't dummies, JCrew. Needless to say, I didn't order anything. I'm sure my pants will go back on sale once the sale discount has passed. Very disappointing.

  12. PSA - read this on Madison Avenue Spy:
Starting Sunday, J. Crew will offer 30% off site wide using the code WEEKEND. The two-day discount is also available in stores. Some restrictions apply but there aren't many.

    2. Thanks wff! Good to know although also seems dumb of jcrew not to start the promo today with all the emails, bloggers, etc, talking about the best Memorial Day weekend sales! They missed out on all the free buZz!

    3. So exciting, thanks WFF for sharing! Just created a post about it too. :)

  13. Does anyone know the style number for the factory version of the vacationland shorts? I know they are called something else, but they sold out online before I could grab the number and correct name. And anyone know if they fit just like the other pull on shorts? I have those punk floral ones and love love love them!!

I am hoping my local factory store has them but they were clueless when I called this morning without a style number.

    1. TXgirl14 - the style# should be the same as the punk floral pull-on shorts, which I reviewed in this post. I don't know the color name of the vacationland print, though, but it might be florida pink (FPI), like the dress.

      printed pull-on short, A5331

      Good luck!

    2. Thanks so much! It was Florida pink. My store didn't have them and they tried to look them up at others stores and said they were sold out all over. I don't believe them, but that's okay. I did some damage elsewhere today...too many sales going on!

      Thanks again!

    1. Just received the newest style guide and there is a promo code for $50 off purchases $150 or more. This offer is good through June 8th.

    3. Brittney, it's a bright orange cover with the code on the back by the address label.

    4. My guess is this is not universal and not everyone will get a code as that is how it usually goes. If you haven't purchased much recently you may get one.

    1. shopalot - There was a J Crew store in one of the malls, but they closed it awhile back. I thought the outlet was still in Vega$, but maybe they closed that, too.

  16. I stopped by today and sale was 50% off. Final, of course.

  17. I stopped by the downtown SF store..sale stuff 40% off.
I also saw jewelry 25% off from the glass case.

Saw the Lace shift dress and tried it on. I was attracted to the price, but alas, the quality of the lace and construction makes it look cheap, and...that is why the dress is for $148.
It fits TTS. It's nice to wear around, but when I think of lace, i think of their special collection skirts/dresses which i'm sure is made of good quality lace...so it was a pass for me.

  20. Went to North Ave store in Chicago. The sales section was decent. The patio skirt in photo floral (love that skirt) and No. 2 pencil skirt in striped color block both on sale plus 40% off. They had a good stock of both. Both are full price online (but are included in the WEEKEND promo). Tried on the cove floral drawstring pant. I really liked these and found they run TTS (but I know others have reported that they run one size small). I think there may have been some random promos in store (I think shorts were on promo).
